I have a London Fog coat and love it. It has a flannel liner in it for cold weather that can be taken out and it also serves as a rain coat yet it's fabric that repels water. Keeps you very warm. Knee length and it came with a scarf. It has lasted years and still looks brand new. It never goes out of style.

I got one of these at Macy's on sale at Christmas. It's very warm. I'm 95% sure I got the Flynn, but it might be the Isabel.

The London Fog ones were a little wider, so they allowed you to have a relatively thick sweater on underneath. Most of the others were narrower, especially in the arms, so if you wanted to wear them over a suit jacket, it was very hard.

This is the warmest coat I've ever owned. It's been suggested by several others on dcum as well. It keeps me so warm that I often don't bother zipping it up. And it's not bulky or puffy at all.

I got a long one at Marshall's for about 120. It's been great and kept me nice and toasty the past few days.

Thanks all for the suggestions! I should mention that I would ideally like to be able to wear the coat to work and on the weekends. -OP

JCPenney is having a BIG sale on lady's coats. Don't look down on JCP, I bought two fantastic coats and it didn't cost a fortune.

I don't love most puffer jackets but I might need to break down and get one. I am willing to invest and spend some money on a quality/good looking coat. Any coat recommendations (puffer or otherwise)? Thanks so much!
