+1 for the Hershey Hotel in Hershey. Chocolate themed spa, beautiful grounds, indoor pool, botanical gardens across the street as well as chocolate world, the outlets, Hershey park and the arena, can go watch the Hershey Bears. Good restaurants onsite too, you can find deals online.

There's also Lancaster PA - either the Inn at Leola Village or the Eden Resort (do the champagne brunch). Drive the cover bridges through the Amish farms, outlets and the mud sales will be starting up soon.

I'd look on the Eastern Shore - Easton, Cambridge or St Michaels. I'd think the off season rates would be pretty decent. Annapolis or Frederick would be fun too - good restaurants and shops.

+1 to the Tidwater Inn in Easton. Very nice place and you can get to 3 nice little towns (Cambridge/St. Michael's/Oxford) within about 15-30 mins from the hotel.

Ugh, CUSTOMER service not costumer. They don't provide costumes, sadly.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Mimslyn Inn in the Shenandoahs. It was pretty, relaxing, and we enjoyed a picnic at a nearby winery. We got a groupon for it...check it out. The costumer service was awesome!

+1 Though I know most of the shops in town in St. Michael's are now closed for the winter.

Maybe Hershey, PA? They have a nice spa, decent restaurants, and you could go to Chocolate World and indulge as only a pregnant woman can! There are also outlets in the area.

Annapolis?

Maybe Berkeley Springs? It's a spa town, has cute little shops, some nice restaurants and is a short, easy drive.

If a little more corporate what you have in mind the Hyatt resort in Cambridge on the Eastern shore is comfy, nice indoor pool, rooms with pretty bay views and is a short drive to Easton, which has some really nice restaurants and cute shops as well as close to the Blackwater wild bird refuge, which is an easy walk/drive tour and very pretty. Or, the Tidwater Inn in Easton's really nice and sort of combines historic charm with larger hotel amenities.

Down in southern MD, I"ve always wanted to try this place - once you're over there you could have a gentle walk around Historic St Mary's City and the college, both of which are really pretty. I'm not as sure about dining options, though surely one can get good seafood somewhere!

Maybe Saint Michaels, MD or another town on the Eastern Shore? I've seen some nice BnBs and even AirBnBs in southern Maryland, too. Solomons, for example, is a cute town with waterfront restaurants, some shops, a museum, and a boardwalk to stroll along.

Rocky Gap? About 2.5 hours west of DC; casino resort by the state park. No spa, afaik, and not terribly close in to a town, but it has an indoor pool and a casino, and you could do some nice walks by the lake.

Hi All - we are looking to take a quick weekend trip away before baby #2 comes. We're (mainly me!) exhausted and would love something relaxing, nice scenery, maybe a spa but even just a nice room/bathtub, some easy outdoor activities (or cute little shops if it's a town) somewhere within an hour or two of DC. There are the super-nice resort type hotels but those are running $300 a night or so! Does anyone have any suggestions for a quick getaway like this and places to stay!? any ideas are MUCH appreciated. I need this big time!! thank you!
