I put my Calphalon Elite pans in the dishwasher and they are fine. Everything goes thru the dishwasher in my house!

I have some lovely Calphalon Unison pans. I always hand-wash them despite their 'dishwasher-safe' label. My cousin has the exact same pans bought at the same time, and runs them through the dishwasher. They do look a bit more worn.
The pans are so easy to clean. Just a quick swipe of the sponge and they are done.

I always say I'm not going to put my new nonstick pans in the dishwasher, but after 6-9 months I give in and do it. I do think it deteriorates the finish but I'm resigned to just buy new ones in a couple of years. My sanity not hand washing them is worth it to me.

It depends on whether they are DW safe. The calphalon pans I got in 2003 were all hand-wash, but we've sent them back for warranty issues and the new ones all say dishwasher safe. It's awesome. They are totally fine.

I've done it a couple times. Enough to decide not to do it. It does hurt the finish. It doesn't completely ruin them, but you can tell after a wash or two that it's not great for them.

I wouldn't. You can damage the finish.

I'm talking the nice calphalon ones. My husband says no but I don't remember why and I'm tired of hand-washing. Anybody have a good reason I shouldn't do this?
