At a center you're looking at $3000 per month for full-day 5 days a week care, including the additional sibling discount. Home daycare prices vary but will probably be $2500 per month.

Is this Heritage? St. Ann's? What do you like about it for the 3 year old in particular? Any drawbacks? How much outside time do they get? We live nearby and are thinking about switching from our nannyshare to a center for our 3 year old. Thanks!

I pay $1,700 for one toddler and one infant in Hyattsville, a non-profit center - right on the DC/MD border ($1,000/mo for the 4 month old and $700 for the 3 year old) The ratio in the infant room is 6 infants, 2 care-givers, with a 3rd "floater" care giver available if needed.

I pay 225/week at a home daycare in Silver Spring for one kid, but will soon be adding another. I'm paying that for a toddler--that was the infant rate, and it goes down to 200 for a toddler but I'm so happy with the care that I'm not reducing what I pay.

sorry, posted before I was finished. Center in Bethesda. Little one has 3 teachers for 6 kids, hence the expense.
