Lopchu Darjeeling tea.

I don't know if we get it here - but check online stores. It is expensive but nearest thing to heaven.

Love PG tips! I like the Tazo Chai tea. Twining's English breakfast is good too.

Lose the tea bags! Get some tea strainers, or just strain the tea with your teeth like my British relatives do. Then take yourself to Teaism or another area tea shop, and ask them to recommend one or two good black, loose leaf teas. Bags of loose leaf tea are $7-10 at Teaism, so it's a cheap luxury.

Thanks all. My local grocery store doesn't carry these teas which is why I stuck with Lipton. I'll check other local grocery stores. I don't have a WF nearby.

Check out websites like Teavana or Adagio tea. They have amazing blends and are fair trade!

Well, for Earl Gray I usually drink Twinings which is available in most grocery stores.

You can also get some good tea at either World Market or Rodman's. Or Trader Joe's.

Teaism sells lovely loose leaf tea if you are in the District. There's a store right above the Navy Memorial, 8th and D NW.

For regular stores, I would get PG Tips, Yorkshire Tea (builders' tea) or Twinings. Tazo is good.

Earl Gray from Biglow.

Tazo Tea - Black Tea - Organic Darjeeling

Tazo Masala Chai

(Tazo Earl Gray is not as great as Biglow's)

Whole Foods has plenty of high quality teas. Also Rodman's. Why are you even looking at Lipton? Fortnum and Mason is good, also Tazo.

My Giant has started stocking PG tips, fwiw. Before that we were drinking Red Rose but I can't say it was great (I used to think Salada was the best cheap black tea, but they don't seem to sell it around here).

I lived in London years ago and I don't remember what brands of tea I used. I love black tea but Lipton black tea sold here is just gross. Can anyone recommend a brand of black tea that can be bought here in stores? I have an electric tea kettle so the water is boiling hot. Thanks!
