Yeah, it kind of is. Wanna know why? The alcohol tax. Booze is sufficiently more expensive in MoCo that people drink less of it, which eats into the restaurant's profit margin, which eats into its competitiveness to attract top talent (both chef and staff). There are plenty of hungry affluent people, so there are plenty of under-first-tier restaurants, but for the high-fliers, there's more money to be made, and more expense account business, downtown.
