Peruvian chicken is DA BOMB! More expensive than Costco, but so worth it. The best I know of in MD is in Wheaton, but I haven't lived there in years so do a little research. After you try that, seek out Korean fried chicken. Bon Chon or Chi Mc (in VA). It's totally not what you'd expect but is awesome. After you have the good stuff, it's hard to eat the grocery store chickens.

Also surprised here! I always love the costco chicken and was super surprised that they only cost $5... So much better and cheaper than cooking a whole chicken yourself!

The best place to go is a Peruvian chicken place, but as far as grocery stores go we really like the Giant Applewood (Smoked?) chicken.

Wow! I am very surprised to hear that, as I have been buying rotisserie chicken from this same Costco for years now. I use it for all kinds of dishes, and find it less greasy than noston market. Costco makes an awesome chicken soup (deli section) from its rotisserie chicken during winter months. It is almost as hearty as a full meal.

If you can ever get to the Fresh Market, we love their wine/herb rotisserie chicken!

We've always had great luck at the Fairfax costco as well. If you didn't like it, tell them and they will refund your money.

Try Boston Market?

Boston Market chicken is outrageously salty.

They do vary by costco location for some reason.

We love the Costco rotisserie chickens, and buy them every 2 weeks. I will wait till the fresh ones come out and immediately grab one. If they sit for a while in the hot case they tend to over-brown. Perhaps that's what happened to the OP.

I like the ones from both Giant and Harris Teeter.

We were excited to try the rotisserie chicken at Costco, brought it home and had to throw it out because of a horrible rubbery texture and chemical taste. Where can I go for the best rotisserie chicken?
