Same as you, OP. Not a beer drinker. I keep some Sam Adams on hand, and then something 'crafty', usually Flying Dog. I make sure they aren't both IPA, Porter, Dark Ale, etc, just to make sure there is variety.

I usually get a lager like Yeungling (I'm from PA and I love it, don't care what haters think!), an ale or IPA like Dogfish head, and a craft brew that's seasonal or a wheat beer like Blue Moon.

Sam Adams seems to be popular with my group, as does Heineken (I don't like that one, but if it's what my guests like I'll get it for them).

Just get at least one lighter lager and one ale or craft for variety. People will appreciate it!

You want a few different varieties. We have friends who only drink beer when consuming alcohol. They all like different domestic brands.
