We have a grey-green color on our walls, with forest green, golden-yellow and red colors in the bedspread, furniture, pictures and drapes along with darkish brown furniture. Its not cold. We had a professional do it. Unfortunately I can't recall the color name.

DH and I recently painted our bedroom a gray color and love it, it's so very relaxing. We have sage green and light yellow accents.

That photo is far lighter than actual windham cream which we had in a very sunny room. The wall looks like 100% windham cream with bright sun and floodlights. In an average room windham cream 50% looks darker. We have the paint in several areas and experimented with the proportions.

A pale cream [not yellow] from BM is Ivory Tusk.

We've got bm shaker beige in a bedroom and I love how it looks. But I like blues, greens and whites for accents.

Thanks for the suggestions! I like the idea of using a more neutral color so that I can change the accent colors more easily. I'd love any other suggestions that others have.

We have a yellowish bedroom and it's nice and sunny feeling. Love it. It certainly doesn't make me feel agitated! I chose yellow because the guest room in my parents house was yellow and I always loved how bright and warm it felt.

That said, there are many shades of yellow and not all if them are nice.

Yellow can be a strong color. How about a taupe color to warm up the space. BM stone house is a warm neutral.

I have a yellow bedroom (was yellow when we moved in) and I'm really sick of it. Can you do a pale caramel or desert sand or something?

What about Edgecomb Gray by BM? And then yellow accents?

I have BM Palladian Blue, which I love and is very relaxing. But without natural light, it might read cool. My parents painted one bedroom pale yellow and it's gorgeous and warm feeling. Yellow is so tricky, though--I'd paint large swatches before committing.

I just changed my master bedroom color to Sherwin Williams' "quietude." It is greenish/bluish but very warm and I LOVE it. It is very spa-like and soothing. It is much more blue looking than the swatches made it look and I actually prefer how it looks on the wall. I know you mentioned you already have silvery green, but this quietude color is so great!

I think a yellow might not be very relaxing, but that's really up to you. Do you and your husband feel relaxed when surrounded by yellow? I feel like it's more of a kitchen or living space (not sleeping space) color. I've been in nice hotels with yellow bedrooms and it seemed a little more formal or something.

I'm hoping to redo our master bedroom soon and want advice on what color scheme to use. Right now the walls are a silvery green and the room has a "cold" feeling to it. We have four windows but don't seem to get a lot of warm sunlight during the day. I would like the room to feel warmer (not literally). I was thinking a pale, buttery yellow, but my husband thinks he read that yellow is bad for bedrooms -- it makes you agitated or something. Any ideas?
