We have gotten the fruit salad platter at Chick-fil-A for parties and it was a big hit.

Safeway has fresh fruit tubs 3 for $10. Buy 3, put them on a nice platter, and viola - fruit salad.

This. I just saw they were $8.99 for a medium sized one with cantaloupe, honey dew, strawberries, kiwi and pineapple.

Fruit salad is expensive at ANY store.

Even Harris Teeter wants $10 for a quart of mixed fruit.

I asked Safeway if they could put together an organic fruit platter for me and they said no, so I go with Whole Foods, or I make it myself at home.

I'm taking fruit salad to a friend's house for a get together. Whole Foods fruit salad is insanely expensive - do any other grocery stores have a good fruit salad? Harris Teeter? Giant? Safeway? I'm in Arlington.
