Even someone who doesn't use a wheelchair can have difficulty getting up off a low surface. I'd go with 20 inches either way.

Even someone who doesn't use a wheelchair can have difficulty getting up off a low surface. I'd go with 20 inches either way.

Would you consider a hospital bed? My own elderly and frail dad used one at home. Added benefit is that it can be raised and lowered and has side rails.

Is she in a wheelchair? Then around 20 inches top of mattress. If not then all but the highest beds should be ok.

relative? Relative is 5 ft tall and I have to buy a new bed for her use. Do you think the Hemnes Ikea bed would fit the bill? Or is it too high or low? Any suggestions?
