I would agree with your assessment of BIL. But what I want to know is, why is your husband enabling your brother's bad behavior? I think the new girlfriend would be better off without BIL as a boyfriend.

BIL is DH's baby brother. He is constantly asking DH for money and favors. I swear he calls DH everyday for something. Whenever I ask BIL for a favor, he is never available or he says maybe and then flakes. BIL has a new girlfriend. He brings the girl over to our house to meet the family. The next day, BIL flies to Europe to hang out with some girl he met on vacation to celebrate New Year's. DH asks me not to mention the trip to the new girlfriend.

I really think BIL is a piece of shit. I don't want him in my house.
