I can guarantee that they're not jealous of couples with kids.

No clue! I think they just didn't grasp the scope of how much is involved with parenting. They only catch glimpses with us and don't have a lot of exposure to kids. I think this might be pushing back their baby timelines though

Sigh, yes I know the feeling. Not to worry, they will get their come-uppance in one of two ways. Either they'll have kids of their own and realize how travel changes with children in tow, or they'll be childless and occasionally envy their many friends who have families. Enjoy your daughter, OP! That's what is most important.

This is not because they are childless. Some of our favorite people to hang out with and vacation do not have children.

We decided it would be fun to take a short trip away with two couples and our 2 year old daughter. Terrible idea. Their faces and voices reek of judgment and resentment anytime we have to make a decision to accommodate our daughter (nap, food, entertainment, etc.) and they just stare at us whenever she gets cranky/fussy. I know it's hard for them to understand since they don't have kids but it's still frustrating when people you consider your friends don't even make an effort. Never again!!
