Boden Essential T's are very thick and warm and last forever. Not their other T's. It looks like they have a few striped ones now, but no plain ones. They usually carry them every year.

Have you lost your mind ? What dumbass would pay that for a damn shirt ?

No kidding. It's modal and spandex. I LOVE modal and have gotten modal fabric clothes at target and kohls. Unless it's stitched in gold, I don't get it

I had such a nice one from Lucy but they don't seem to be doing casual clothing anymore--it is all workout or yoga.

I was going to suggest Lands End. I bought a few white ones and don't think they are too thin. From what I remember, there are two types they sell. I guess I got the thicker one.

Gap's Favorite Tee is pretty good. NOT the Essential tee, though.

Also, check out the Sonoma line at Kohl's. I had good luck this past summer with short-sleeve t-shirts.

I've got a lands end one--I like it a lot but agree it would be too thin in white. Thicker than the "tissue" tees but still thin enough to be form sitting and good for layers. They have them at sears if you want to check them out.
Don't get garnet hill--those are super thin.

Not Lands End. I just got some white ones and they are really thin and poor quality--comparable to Target, actually, but more expensive. Boden used to have thicker Ts, but I havent ordered from them in over a year so can't attest to whether they are still nice. Quality changes so much--I have three years of Boden Ts in my drawer, same exact style, and each year they get less nice.

Any recs on where to buy a few good, thick, fitted, long sleeved t shirts? Solid colors, to wear as a base with jeans: white, black, cream, etc.

Not the crappy J Crew tissue tees I've put up with for years!

Thanks in advance for any leads!
