All three of my college kids have been doing a lot of sleeping. They are burned out from exams and school in general. They've also been hanging out with some old friends. Helping out around the house. Watching tv and playing XBox with their little brother. Our oldest and his wife were here for a few days and the college kids enjoyed spending time with them as well.

Two of them left today to visit some out-of-town friends for a couple of days. Just a relaxing Winter Break for all of them.

No Grey Poupon lifestyle here. I'm lucky if they are out of their rooms by noon.

Sorry if you don't like what we're doing. My oldesy has taken cooking classes abroad before but the younger has never worked with a vet outside of the US before. I'm glad they're doing these things; they're productive and helping to improve their Italian.

Because Italian is such a useful language.

We are Italian. It is useful to us.

This week she's sleeping, watching TV, surfing the internet, eating, and hanging out with high school friends. Next week, she picked up a few babysitting jobs for families she's done in the past in order to make some money. But overall, she's definitely taking it easy. No shame in that. The first semester of college can be draining.

Furiously writing college essays. I'm sure my kid would envy yours.

Mine have hung out with high school friends, gone to holiday parties, helped with Christmas stuff at home. We leave for a week of skiing tomorrow.

Mine must've slept the first two days straight. I guess college life can be exhausting with late night studying, exams, parties, etc.

After that it's been the under 21 club, friends, etc.

What have yours been up to?

DC just completed 1st semester.
