I'm in health policy, was working for an association and got a 3 percent raise plus small ($3k) bonus last year. I left for another company in the spring and got a nice salary hike - went from 95k to 115k. Not sure what raises or bonuses are like at the new place.

I'm lucky, I've always gotten a minimum of 3 percent raises, and in promotion years, significantly more. I think the government is in for a serious brain drain if they keep this pay freeze up.

Fed since 2009. I've gone up 3 steps since then, so despite the pay freeze, I'm up a bit. Inflation and health care have taken a bite, of course.

Law firm- "raise" was a couple of shares; roughly 10%.

No pay increase this year, and a 10% cut last year. The 1% increase sounds nice!

Yup. Just treading water as a fed. Never seem to really bring home much more money than the year before.

No. I am making less than I did before the recession. I was laid off. I make less than I would in the federsl government. Am at a small nonprofit. Went to a top school in my field.

Private sector here. Big Four accounting.

No raise in four years, despite top ratings. I'm "outside the band" which is something they seem to tell a lot of people in my cohort.

Current federal workers are being give a 1% salary increase in January 2015. I'm curious what types of changes in salary non-federal workers experienced this year.

Full disclosure: I'm a fed since 2010, since finishing my Ph.D. I'm happy to have some increase but mildly frustrated that my salary isn't keeping up with inflation.
