+1. This one always gets rave reviews by kids & adults alike. For kids, I usually make cupcakes and frost with milk chocolate frosting or whipped creme. I also usually split the recipe into 1/3 or 2/3 - the original makes a huge cake.

I would add that I don't care for the coffee addition to the frosting, so I just leave it out of that part.

What is your favorite chocolate cake recipe of all time? I am looking to try something new, and I have a craving for something rich and chocolate-y, and there are SO MANY recipes out there it is overwhelming. I am not the most sophisticated baker, but I persevere and eventually get it right, so it doesn't have to be the "easiest" recipe ever.
