Niw i start to realise that all these expensive granite kitchens are just for show. The microwave and take out menus are the only things that see any action.

LOL. So random. Did you hit your head on a granite counter top or something?

Yikes, OP here. I wasn't complaining just trying to be considerate of anyone who happens to stand next to me today.

Happy to report that after baking (in my Hotpoint range oven in my 1949's kitchen with Formica countertops), and deep conditioning my hair, I am odor free as is my house. Thanks to all, except PP up there. Yeesh!

By latke smell!. I hope you baked something yummy!

Did you blow dry it? I feel like that's the step that gets bad smells out for me.

OP here. Thanks for the responses. I have washed my hair and I think I still smell it. Maybe it's a phantom smell, I don't know. Should I douse it in lemon juice or something ?

Wash your hair. I get that smell in my after after being in greasy diners or places like that. After a while I think it becomes a phantom obsession! But yes, you do have to wash your hair.

Last night. And now my house (and my hair!) reeks even after a thorough cleaning of both. I'm leaving the windows open for a while and I'll bake something to get rid of the odor, but any tips for getting rid of the smell in my hair? I'm not even sure if it actually smells. Maybe the smell is just lingering in my mind?
