I think 20 is about right. We were also looking recently for a sitter for a toddler and an infant and offered 20 and got a number of responses. One person wanted 23, which seems to me to be too high.

You don't seem to understand. If no one answers on the babysitting boards, then people can't get their babysitting questions answered. Get it?

Because I posted in General Parenting. Apparently you can't post questions about hiring a babysitter in General Parenting. And people don't answer posts in the Babysitter forum. So I just can't use DCUM to get an answer to my question...

Unless someone wants to answer it here...

A woman who is an in-home daycare provider during the day will be watching our kids in her home. We have a toddler and a 5 month old. We used to pay her $15/hour for one child. She told us to pay her whatever we wanted so I'm trying to figure out what's average/fair for babysitting a toddler and baby. Thanks.
