Chocolate Snowflakes:
This is my abbreviated recipe (sorry, I bake a lot) but maybe yyou can use it to find a more step by step recipe?

3 ozs semisweet choc/chips
1 stick unsalted butter
1 c flour
2 tbsp cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 c sugar
2 eggs
½ c confectioner’s sugar

Melt choc & butter
combine dry ingredients
mix choc/butter w/ sugar/eggs
add dry ingredients

CHILL FOR 4 HOURS

Form into balls, roll in conf sugar and bake on parch paper or greased cookie sheets

300 15 minutes

Or crinkle/krinkle cookies

My coworker just brought in some very yummy cookies. They are chocolate, rolled in powdered sugar so that they crack and look pretty. They were chocolately but not overly dense or fudgey. Perfect and light! She said the recipe was from Marcel Desaulniers, some one who is apparently known for chocolate recipes. I don't have time to get the book (just looked him up and don't even know what book to get!) or go to the library but would love some sort of copy cat recipe, or at least a name that I can google. I can't search through images on Google all day.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Do these kind of cookies have a name? Bonus points if you have a recipe you enjoy!
