True. And read up on these machines, the closed loop water tank creates a disgusting petri dish to make all kinds of horribly rancid dreck in the tank can't be drained or aired out.

For example (this is not the post I am referring to above), you cannot clean a Keurig to the standards mentioned here since you can't subject it to boiling water for more than a minute and you can't air dry the tank and internal parts:

That's reason enough to not get one, the wastefulness and mediocre quality of the brew, etc., are just added reasons.

I just got my first Keurig - a K cup officepro. I LOVE it!! I can't believe that dh thought to give this to me. I hadn't asked for one but I've been wanting one for a long time.

I just finished a pumpkin spice latte. Sooo good.

Keurig will give a free one if you tell them it is broken.

They make money on K cups so I think they will give a free one either way.

Maybe your machine is subject to the current Keurig recall, and you can get a replacement.

But, have to agree with the earlier post. Get a French press and stop contributing to the landfill.

The refillable one is made by Keurig for the express purpose of using coffee they don't sell. How is that unlicensed?

I heard a rumor that the new Keurigs will not accept "unlicensed" pods and that includes those refillable ones.

Im on my 2nd keurig & when it dies Im not getting another one. I got my old drip Mr. Coffee back out, works like a champ. I can adjust the strength & cup size, tastes better. Probably not the answer you were looking for...

I am looking at amazon for a new Keurig machine but there are so many, and I can't really see a difference among them to tell the truth… Currently I have a Keurig V cup and we use it at least 6x/day, more on weekends - MIL drinks LOTS of coffee.

I also have a Nespresso, which I love btw.. but I need a Keurig for the run of the mill, watery coffee. I want a K cup this time because the V cup has been very hard to find. I am actually glad the thing broke and I have an excuse to ditch it and buy a new one.
Can you recommend your keurig machine?
