There is a book called "The Millionaire Mind" that explains how people like your family operate. You are normal for who you are. People who display the most wealth aren't usually the wealthiest.

Where has your family tried to fit in? How exactly are they outcasts? What are examples where wealthy people act so much better than you? This is just your own insecurity speaking. As others have said, work on manners and being gracious. That is good advice for all socioeconomic levels.
