We keep our bread and bakery items in a wooden bread box on the counter. It's like this one (but I don't recall spending that much on it):

We have no problems with break going moldy before the use-by dates.

I found a stainless steel one from Walmart. There are also ones that are made in other materials. Google "Bread box walmart".

Can you even use those in this climate? If I keep bread on the counter it goes moldy within 2-3 days. I would love to be able to keep bread at room temp but I can't!

Help find a bread box to keep my bread, bagels, english muffins... I hate how messy they looked on my counter and would love a enamel box to keep them in. Looked at Amazon but they all looked pretty small. I don't think I'd be using it sole to keep bread--more so to keep bread and likes from cluttering my counter. Any suggestions? Photos would be great!
