Check with a cobbler, I've had one stretch shoes that were too narrow (they basically put an expandable insert inside the shoe and apply pressure outward until the leather stretches slightly). They might be able to do something similar with a boot shaft. It would be a lot cheaper than the extra $145 for the extended shaft!

No I don't think they do. Mine are still stiff (which I like).

Yep, they do. It takes a while, but they do.

the shaft?
slightly tight on me. probably should get the extended but can't find them on sale and found the regular ones for $223. having a hard time justifying paying $368 for the extended.
