I'm a single mom and I live with my mom and dad. I am saving to buy a condo and can't save much if I rented an apt. Not everyone makes tons of money. I am a teacher and don't make much and my ex is always looking for creative ways not to pay child support.

I lived with my parents till I got married. I left and joined my husband in marriage. She probably relies on her parents for child care and can live comfortably saving on rent. I would be concerned if she is getting child support, cheap or free housing and no savings.

I would see what the situation was.
As a single working mom, the childcare alone would be a great help and if it was a bad divorce , perhaps the grandparents are really nice and stable for the little girl.
Maybe she wanted to really be financially stable as well and this was the best way for her to get on her feet
I wouldn't judge so poorly based on just that she lives with her parents

I don't think it's necessarily a red flag. If she's mostly raising that child alone, living with parents so she has help with care makes some sense. I'm a single parent, and i could see the situation being appealing if I got along well with my parents and the house was big enough.

It's not like you're engaged after the first date. I think it's okay to date her just to find out if there is a problem with the apron strings. I'm more concerned that you are trying to judge her based on the car she drives. If she drove a second-hand Hyundai, would it be different?

Met a woman recently. She and her elementary age kid have been living with her parents since her divorce 5+ years ago. She drives a Mercedes, seems successful, but...this. Red flag?
