I would not, only because the volume of travelers and the chance of delays will be high. We traveled over the holidays once, and it was a complete nightmare. The flights were overbooked and delayed, which can be tough with young children.

+1 Even better, take the train to Philly. My kids LOVED that and much more relaxing for us than driving.

Is it a 3 month old or a 3 year old? Your title isn't clear.

I have done it with a three month old. It was great.
Some people don't cope well.

Well, I just flew to FL and back in a 3.5 day weekend with my 5 yo and 11 mo. It was tiring but fun and worth it. Driving somewhere within 3-4 hours might be more relaxing, though.

To each his own but I don't see how you enjoy this trip -- I feel like a lot of parents try to prove they can still do it all -- like the proverbial "bring home the bacon and fry it up in a pan."

Assume the plane will be delayed 4 or 5 hrs in both directions. If that is ok with you, then go.

We're going to Hawaii with kids the same age, so I say, go for it!!

Yay! You and us both. NP here. Actually we have an older child who is an excellent traveler and an 18 month old. I'm a little nervous about taking the toddler on such a long trip, but we have prepared as much as possible (entertainment, snacks, generally being organized), so I have hopes the air travel will be fine.

Go for it OP!

Travel would turn your fun, relaxing four-day weekend into a frustrating, exhausting nightmare because literally half the time will be spent in airports packed with people who fly once a year.

Give yourself a gift. Stay home.
