I received a brochure for the Summer Institute for the Gifted. Has anyone done this? Did your child like it? Worthwhile?

There is a marine biology camp at Chincoteague. They changed the name since my child went there so I'm not sure what it's called now, but DC loved it.

The issue with the UVA program is that you can rank the courses you want, but they may place you in any course...unlike CTY where you sign up for one specific course.

OP here. This looks great! And much more affordable than CTY. Anyone else?

I'm looking for 1-3 week sleep away/ residential camp programs for DS, preferably within about a 6 hour drive. He is in 7th grade, and very bright in both math and verbal. He also has some musical and artistic talent. But, he's also socially awkward, has ADHD (struggles with organization and staying on task, more than hyperactivity) and is terrible at team sports (actually, almost all sports). He's done CTY as a commuter student the last two years and loved the program, but the residential price tag for 3 weeks is more than $5,000, which is tough to justify. Last summer, he did Virginia Space Flight Academy, which he also loved. Other ideas?
