OP,

I think it's lovely that you would give your ex a gift. It shows a the spirit of Christmas and sets a wonderful example for your child. It's refreshing to hear about amicable exes.

It's do hard though

Hells yeah! And yes, I would get him a gift, from your son of course. Do NOT get all petty around the holidays, keep things pleasant for your son, no matter how badly things may have ended for his parents.

Thank you.

If you mean a gift from you + your son to your ex if he is the father of your son, then that is appropriate.

However I do not in general, give gifts to any of my ex's who I do not share any offspring with.

Just because.

Desk calendar yes. But ornament -- only if you think a single guy is going to have a tree...

Are you talking about gifts "from your son" to him...or it's something that's supposed to be from you to him? And your son will be getting him another present?

Our relationship has been rocky but it's a holiday season and I feel like getting him something nice. Also, I would like to start teaching my son about giving. Would a card and a desk calendar with pics of our son be appropriate? I was thinking of picking a nice ornament with DS too.

He offered buying us a nice tv. I refused as I think it's too much.

Do you exchange gifts with your exes? Thanks
