Did the kids like the wooden one just as well? Don't want to spend the money and end up they like they plastic ones better.

We have an Elves and Angels kitchen. Not cheap, but if you want something high quality and wooden--they're handmade by a family up in Maine and really beautiful.

Agree. They won't know the difference.

We got one used, a plastic one to boot and it was played wjth every day for years by my kids and by kids who came over for play dates. Doors/drawers that open and hold things are just fun!

Get a toy shopping cart to go with whatever you get and you're gold.

It's incredibly cute and my kid loves it, but honestly? I like the IKEA toy kitchen better. Still all wood, but with window pane cabinets and (I think) better features.

We have the red retro kitchen & it's lasted 3 kids & 7 years now. I'm impressed with pbk?s play kitchen quality & think it was worth buying.

Kids love play kitchens of all kinds especially if they're into imaginative play. I made one for my son from an old TV cart and added a toy microwave and cash register. Four years later he still plays with it. No need to spend a fortune on one.

All Pottery Barn kid furniture and wooden toys/ play equipment is cheaply made. If you go into a PBK store and look at it and open the drawers then go to any other kids furniture stor(like Kid to teen or dept stores) you will get higher quality for much cheaper. Try Land of Nod, zulily, overstock, fat brain toys etc.)to find a play kitchen.

I like ours, but we bought it off Craigslist for a fraction of the original selling price. I would never pay PBK prices for one.

Nothing at Pottery Barn is worth the money. Get it if you really love the style of it, but your kid will be no happier with it.

Really cute set but I'm wondering if it's worth the price tag? Would my kid be happier with the plastic one that makes noises?
