13:47 here: LOL. Can you tell my DH did all my injections? I never touched a needle. Use the smaller needle for the menopur, not the mixing needle.

I was an SG patient and skipped the injection class. I did the same as PP with my laptop set up in the bathroom and watched the videos on the Freedom site. I think I've watched nearly every video and injected nearly every medication at this point!

I just started menopur this month and accidentally used the mixing needle to inject the first time. woah. imagine my surprise on night 2 when I realized there were all these extra smaller, more manageable needles included. It was confusing that they included a bigger needle that's never used when you have a q cup! oh well, at least I figured it out early

Nurse here, an 18 gauge needle is huge, OUCH! It is good for mixing but you need to change to a 22 or 23 gauge 1-1.5 inch to inject HCG. The 27-29 gauge 0.5 inch needles are for subcutaneous injections, Lupron, Gonal F, Follistim, Menopur, etc.

No, no! 18 is huge.
You use a 27 1/2 or 30 G for the subcutaneous injection. The bigger needle is for the HCG trigger shot (intramuscular).

CFA did showed us how to do it during the IVF orientation. I believe we paid $200 for that.

People have been doing this before classes and YouTube. I just had the nurse show me how to do it.

You don't need a class. Just use the directions, YouTube and any tips the nurse gives you.

We hired a nurse to come to our house to show us how to manage all the medications, and it was really helpful. I can't remember her name, but I got her info from the nurses at Dominion.

I know Shady Grove has the injection classes but I'm not a patient there. Will they let you pay to attend the injection classes? Alternatively, does CFA do injection classes?

We are doing local monitoring with CFA and out of state IVF. Although our out of state clinic offers videos hubby and I are hands on learners =)
