You call up your dealer and ask if they can get you that specific car.

Does it show the VIN? If so google that, and it will pop up what dealer has it

Many of them should be able to get the car, but not necessarily all. The dealerships have to have a mutual agreement to swap cars, and they don't all have those with each other. At least that's what we learned shopping for Hondas recently.

I'm shopping for a Toyota, and there is only one car in the local inventory with the specs that I want. The Toyota inventory search doesn't say where the car is. Can I negotiate with any dealer and assume that they would be able to get the car for me? Thanks!
