I think this is an excellent question. We are having our daughter tested for TAG. Prayerfully she will pass the test and if i would be guaranteed she could go to a TAG middle school i would consider leaving her in the local public school.

Has the District considered expanding the dedicated TAG magnet program for Middle School. I know a lot of people who leave their local elementary and go to the TAG magnet so their child is guaranteed placement in the TAG middle school. If they would offer a guaranteed TAG middle school slot for all TAG identified students I bet the brain drain that occurs in second grade at some ES would subside.

Monday, Dec. 8 2014: 7 to 9 PM
PGTAG's annual public meeting at Kenmoor Middle School

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from central office leadership, such as CEO Dr. Kevin Maxwell and Deputy Superintendent Dr. Shawn Joseph, on their vision for TAG teaching and learning across our entire school system. You'll also be able to hear from a panel of local educators who will provide examples of excellence across TAG elementary school programming (TAG Pullout, TAG in the Regular Classroom, and TAG Center Schools) as well as TAG programming in middle school.

This public forum presents a great opportunity for you to learn about placement options for your child, understand administrative procedures governming TAG programming, and learn about current and future improvments to TAG teaching and learning across our entire school system.
