I'm a lawyer. I would not suggest law at this time. I'm urging college-aged children towards stem and computer engineering with side courses in business, accounting, etc, and foreign languages like Chinese and Portuguese. Also urging business school.

A friend with a Latin American studies major started out as a taster for a coffee broker. Years later, very successful in the coffee brokerage business.

Common thinking throughout both American and UK universities, seems to be the emphasis on 'transferable skills'. It's up to you to transfer whatever skills you have to wherever you want to go.
