We were at the bar in the Mayflower last week and the men were circling like sharks. We were there because it was convenient for our evening plans, but it was kind of fun. Been awhile.

One option is a nice hotel bar. kimpton options around DuPont are usually lively.

She is visiting from NYC, we are both in our early 40's. I rarely (never!) go out other than to restaurants anymore, but 20 some years ago we both loved hitting the DC scence. I think it would be fun to catch up over drinks in a hip, fun bar--where two 40 year old women won't be out of place.
