There was so much work especially homework that she began to not like going to school. I understand that it is magnet but i want my child to be challenged and like school. I am not sure if Heather Hills is like Glenarden Woods but hopefully someone can share their experience.
My info. is based on a friend who has kids there. They are very happy with it, but it does require a significant amount of at home support (reports, writing books, science projects, etc.). I have a child in a G/T program in another school district and I don't think there are so many substantive at-home projects compared to HH. There are quite a few kids there who are not really G/T material (i.e. not reading on grade level), so there are two tracks of kids --- and they are pretty much put in separate groups. If you are able to give support to your child then HH sounds like a very good education. If you are expecting it to just be an enriching experience during the day with minimal at home tasks, then you won't like it.
