I love roman shades and have the cordless ones on the windows in the living room. I think that its a classic look and isn't trendy at all.

I got cordless ones from Smith and Nobel. They fit perfectly. In fact my DH and I were just telling someone that when we measured and then ordered online we worried that they would not fit but they did. They are classic and simple and while not cheap much less expensive then shutters!

OP, why do you think they are a trend?

I'm not sure they are a trend. Like curtains, blinds, shutters, etc they are just a window treatment option that has been around for a long time.

Like them but did not get due to the cord and kid issue.

How long will this trend last? I like the look now, but wonder if they are a good investment for the long haul. How do you clean them?
