It doesn't get more basic than this:

Stone Fence = bourbon + cider. You can spice it with regular cider spices if you want (cinnamon, a little clove).

So -- spiced cider, hot and cold versions, and a bottle of good bourbon for those who want to add.

This sounds awesome.

Whatever you choose, OP, I'd say keep it basic. Have a pitcher of spiked and non-spiked on hand for gifts and a stash for you in the fridge if you don't want it to be obvious from which your re-filling your glass.

Whiskey sour punch or slush (though I don't know if the slush would work without the alcohol - probably not). My family has one of the two at every holiday/celebration, and we love it so much we even made a bunch of batches of it to be served at my wedding.

My family's recipe for the punch version is:
3 x 6oz cans of frozen lemonade
3 cups orange juice
A fifth of whiskey (cheap works fine!)
1 liter of club soda or plain seltzer

For the non-alcoholic version, you could replace the whiskey with 7-up or Sprite or a similar citrus soda, or with plain or flavored seltzer/club soda

We serve the punch with a bowl of maraschino cherries and orange slices on the side to garnish your drink with (for some reason, we always call the fruit "garbage" - as in, "do you want your with garbage, or without?" Weird, and I have no idea where that comes from!)

Anyway, the alcoholic version is always universally enjoyed. I've never made it without the alcohol, so you may want to buy a bit of lemonade, OJ and seltzer/soda and experiment a bit if you decide to try this out.

If you don't make it for this occasion, try it sometime when you're not pregnant! A whiskey sour from a mix will forever be extremely disappointing after.

Cranberry sangria with fresh fruit slices of lemon and orange and cranberries. Add a little Pom juice and sub seltzer water for the wine.

Cranberry and blood orange juice. Add champagne for those who can, seltzer or sprite for those who can't drink.

Anything with cranberry juice is good, and fresh cranberries make for pretty garnishes, too. I've seen some with cranberry juice, Sprite, ginger ale, and/or sparkling cider.

Also if you want to make a punch, this one is really easy and very good. I've made it for parties and people always ask what's in it.

I was put in charge of a special Thanksgiving cocktail; however, I'm also pregnant (but haven't announced yet). Any ideas for a good cocktail recipe that will also taste good without the booze? I think a few others will participate in the booze-free version as well (if it was just me, I would drink water or another beverage).
