Too fast for me. There is no right or wrong in speed, other than both of you have to feel comfortable with it.

Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope.

Too eager. That would terrify me.

And frankly, I would hesitate to date a guy who lives far away. Because (1) I really don't have the time or energy to drive 2 hours there and 2 hours back if I were to meet him in the middle somewhere, and (2) if you go out on an evening date with this guy near your house, where is he going to sleep? Is he going to drive 5 hours home after drinking? No, he's going to pressure you into letting him stay over so he doesn't drink and drive.

Nope.

Unless you like being potentially woken up at 5:30 and driving 5 hours, I don't see the appeal here.

My policy is no weirdos. Happens very infrequently but asking to friend me on Facebook right away is an immediate shutdown. As would be picking me up at my place / knowing my address.

Why do you have to even ask? He's probably not a serial killer, but he's desperate.

I'd suggest having him cool his jest and get to know each other via email/phone/IM first.

5 hours away is pretty geographically undesirable for both of you.

No, no, and no... OP - you know this guy already by your first exchange. Sometimes you need to listen your gut feeling. Something ain't right for this guy. Recognize the right answer when it's given to you.

I wrote him again and included my phone number. Immediately after I sent that email (about two minutes after I sent it) he called me. I could not talk long because I was meeting a friend. The next morning at 5:30am he texted me to ask if we could be facebook friends and he wanted to know my last name. I did not respond. Three hours later he texted me the exact same text. He seems very persistent and I am getting a bit creeped out. WWYD?

That is simply stupid. Why would you give out your number to a total stranger? Keep your distance lady. You don't want to end up on 6pm news.

+1000 - another guy, "survivor" of online dating.
