Why can't she listen to the music that you listen to? I have never understood this. My child loves classic rock. She loves 80s music. She's pretty into the pop music of now. We listen to everything in our family and I'm pretty sure that the only "kids music" that she is into is the Frozen soundtrack.

Lots of more mellow songs but some repetitive upbeat ones like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kV3ZI3HFBQI

Also like some of the Laurie Berkner stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwVo5E04CVQ

These are my favorites (although TBH I think I like Elizabeth Mitchell more than my kid). The backyardigans used to have good music too (Alicia Keys did a song for them).

I googled Dan Zanes and he could possibly be worse than Sesame Street...

You knock Dan Zanes but are ok with kids bop... ok. What you're looking for is entirely unclear. I thought those kiddie popular music albums were designed specifically to grate on discerning ears.

I like Sandra Boynton's stuff. She gets real singers to perform on her albums, the music often sounds like real music, and the lyrics are sometimes smart and funny. For example, the music in Philadelphia Chickens sounds like Broadway show tunes, plus you get Patty LuPone and other real singers. She also has a country album called Frog Trouble.

I play a lot of the sesame st youtube videos for dd--artists like bruno mars and feist reworking their more popular songs into kid-friendly material.

DD LOVES music, but if I have to hear the Sesame Street theme one more time....

Any good song recommendations (energetic, repeating, etc, Taylor Swift is coming to mind)?
