LAMB - Spanish, 533 applicants this year for the 11 prek-3 spots open to non siblings. They don't take kids after prek
DC Bilingual - Spanish
Mundo Verde - Spanish
Stokes - Spanish or french
Sela - Hebrew
Yu Ying - Mandarin
Sela is the easiest t get into, but it's not clear what the future holds for that school, with low enrollment and high staff turnover. DC Bilingual is probably the next "easiest" to get into, but they still had a waiting list. The others will have few spots at K and a lot of applicants.
DCPS Immersion or Dual Language programs (all Spanish)
Oyster (impossible to get in if not inbounds or Spanish dominant)
Marie Reed
Tyler
Powell
Bancroft
Cleveland
Bruce Monroe
For K, you probably won't get into Oyster or Bancroft if you are not inbounds. You may have a shot at the rest.
I don't know the answer to your question about redshirting.
Actually Sela's Future is Incredibly Bright from what I see on a daily basis as a Parent of a PreK4 student at Sela. Sela has an excellent Faculty and Staff and only one teacher has left that I know of since my child started at the beginning of the year so Im not sure where you are getting your information from. I also would not consider Sela under enrolled, they are still a Start up school and consistently growing in numbers as Factual information continues to spread. I cant speak to last year (their first year in existence) but can we stay in the present please? Sela is an awesome school and we are really glad we found it
