They start wars in International Relations. In fact it scares me that we are allies because they always lose. Tell him your Jewish but make sure he doesn't have a gun.

Generally they have a better education than Americans, and they are more liberal. But they hold their feelings close to the vest.

My grandparents were germans in Nazi Germany. So german men, YMMV.

We are both in our 30s, so he doesn't seem that sexist. He is divorced and has a cute little boy in primary grades.

My parents are German. In my experience, things are generally more sexist when it comes to kids. Like way, way more sexist. Mother is 100% expected even still to stay home after baby born.

On the other hand, it's not as automatic that you would have kids.

I met this man who has lived in the U.S. for 10 years. He was born in Germany. He is an American citizen. He speaks perfect English, but with an accent. We started out as friends, and we spend a lot of time together. I am a woman. Both of us are single. I find myself falling for him in a way I have never felt before. I am American, also.

Any advice on cultural differences? What is the culture like for a man from Germany, settled here?
