I spent a lot of money on the rods and finials, but all people noticed were the curtains. I really would not stress about the rods, get some awesome curtains.

Where did you find this?

This is the one I bought:

If you google curtain rod end mount you can find other styles and sizes.

Thanks, I have dormer windows, so I was looking for something like this for my baby's room

OP here. I ended up going with this one: http://www.rhbabyandchild.com/catalog/product/product.jsp?productId=rhbc_prod439004&categoryId=rhbc_cat399001 and it fits perfectly. I'm actually kind of psyched to have the curtain wrap around to the side b/c it will help block the light that inevitably leaks through the sides of the blinds.

No finial on that end and have it abut the perpendicular wall - that's the best way to handle this. That way you don't have to limit how far the rod extends on the other side of the window in order to match it with the short side. People won't notice there's no finial on that side once the curtains are up.

I just ordered curtain rods for the nursery from restoration hardware baby only to realize that there's only 2.5 inches between the window trim and wall. The ones I ordered have glass finials that just won't fit in that space. Any ideas where I can find nice curtain rods with that limited space on the end? There are 3 windows in the room but this one window kind of kills it for the rest. Should I just go with a flat endcap for all the hardware? http://www.rhbabyandchild.com/catalog/product/product.jsp?productId=rhbc_prod456075&categoryId=rhbc_cat330000 I wish I could do flat on the short end and use the finial on the other but would that look totally ridiculous?
