Paint the cabinet white to tie in grout & toilet. Please say your tub is white like the toilet? Then go w/ 2 white under mount sinks and a grey countertop. A gray that's darker than the grout will look fine.

Paint the cabinet or sell it on Craigslist and buy a new one. Much easier than replacing tile.

Sweet Lord. Are you colorblind?

I think the tub sounds nice. I hate stand alone tubs. Weird to me. I also think gray and cream can look nice together if they are the right gray and the right cream. Those colors are tricky as they can have so many undertones (greenish, warmish, cool, etc). Do you have a friend with a good eye for color or design who can come take a look? Perhaps you've been staring at it too long and the tile is not the problem.

Post to Gardenweb with photos. They have a baths forum although I don't know if it's quite as active as the kitchens forum. You'll get a lot of good experienced feedback including from pros.

I guess I didn't really think about cream not going with gray tile...but it doesn't look right.

I can't return the cabinet..Maybe I can rip up tile..Ugh...DH will be upset though.

I hadn't really thought of repainting but maybe we should.

Re: the drop in tub; We almost went with the free standing tub but we both like the idea of having shelf space around the tub. It is not a jetted tub, just a large oval soaking tub..We plan to put wainscotting on the side of the surround. It is under a huge window in the back section of the bathroom.

Having done tile many times, really it's not that big of a deal to pull it out if it was not expensive tile. A few wasted hours is nothing compared to ten or twenty years of tile you hate.

Double sink is so much better than single.

Return the sink base.

Well I definitely agree that the green is a no. And with a 60 inch vanity I'd do the double sink. If you plan to resell the house et some point it will be a help (plus I hate sharing a sink-double sink is a must for me).

Cream and gray don't really go together. Have you looked on houzz or other sites for what goes with vanities like yours? Or can you paint the vanity white?

Other ideas - cover the white grout with gray that matches the tile.

I think having one sink and counter on the other side would be fine.

I would try desperately to avoid tearing out the tile and having your husband redo it. That is a lot of work. Do you already have the vanity installed? Is there a way you could change that out? Or is there some way to pull them together and make them work? Maybe a different color paint on the walls? I would try posting on the gardenweb forums, with pictures. You might get some good suggestions there.

Your DH might be right about the grey sink. Paint is the cheapest thing for you to change. If you go with a grey sink, what color could you re-do the walls in?

Honestly this sounds terrible.

Why green Corian countertops? Ick
Drop in tubs aren't in style. Stand alone tubs are what people want.
Cream doesnt go with white and gray tile

Figure out what you are going to keep and then re-design. If it were me, I'd rip out the tile and repaint the walls. I don't see why double sinks are so offensive, but your alternative of one sink sounds fine. As far as the walls, I would probably try for some color. Your bathroom sounds very bland.

We are putting in a new master bathroom ourselves and I picked out all the fixtures and colors and nothing is working....I am not a millionaire and I am really bummed out that we are spending $ and it is not coming out right at all...Can we fix it? I had my heart set on a nice new bathroom and it all just looks wrong.

I picked out the Lowe's Ketterton 60 inch cream colored vanity...It is beautiful and I love it...However, we don't have a sink top yet and I was planning to get a custom made Corian top with a single bowl BUT now that we put the vanity in place, we realize it can only accommodate a double sink..which I never wanted (I hate double sinks; they are useless; I checked with the store ahead of time and was told this cabinet could fit either a single or a double).

My question is: Would it look goofy if I just put a single bowl sink on the left side and left the right side a countertop???

Also, our tile is not right. I picked out gray tile with white grout...Along with the stark white toilet, the white grout lines and toilet look terrible against the cream colored vanity...It is as if the white just glows in the bathroom and it doesn't really go together....the tile is too casual and the vanity is very rich looking...so two different styles...

I was going to go with a sage colored sink top and bathtub surround (Corian Cilantro - a light sagey gray/green) but I am started to think the sage will make the mismatched colors even worse...My husband says maybe we need to go with a gray sink top...but I hate gray.

What would you do? My husband spent hours tiling..Should I rip it all up...The tile was not expensive but it just doesn't go well.

We painted the walls a cream which I think was a mistake (too close to color of vanity)...We are doing a big drop in soaking tub with a surround and I was going to match the sink top with bathtub surround...but I can do something else.

No wonder people who can afford to do so hire interior decorators...
