Go get canned peaches from the farmer's market. Cooked peach pie? Nobody will be able to tell the difference.

Tell your friend to forget it. Any peaches she finds in the store this time of year will taste like cardboard. The best she can do is get some frozen peaches and doctor them up.


This. You can't fight mother nature. But hang onto that recipe and come next August hit any farmers' market in the area.
