OP here. Thanks.
I am a new pet owner and didn't know what the norms were.

We have multiple bowls for our cats - probably 8-10 - so our petsitter usually has to wash them once or twice. NOt a big deal when we are paying her $24/visit.

They have to wash the ceramic bowls every day. They also have to change the water a couple of times a day.
Isn't that what you are paying for?

Tell them that's what they need to do.

Subject: Question on pet sitting
When you have a pet sitter come in for a dog or a cat, do you leave disposable plates and spoons for pets so they don't have to wash? We use ceramic bowls and I am thinking if it's okay to assume that pet sitter will clean those everyday.
