As opposed to failing to keep up?

I'm ready to seal the deal! Any Berwyn Heights parents or teachers or friends of the school out there?

We love Berwyn Heights! Very nice and friendly community. Have been here for 8 years now and still very happy!

No, it's a single family with a large yard and right off the lake.

I know a few of the teachers either taught at Greenbelt or live in Greenbelt. It's a great school.

Now, I do know of a house going on the market in Greenbelt soon, right off the lake.....

Thank you for such an informative reply! Real parent reviews and experience are the most helpful : )

Current Berwyn Heights parent here. We're kind of on the fence about the school. It is diverse - I'd say it's majority hispanic at this point and maybe 25% African American and then probably less than 25% white/asian. The facilities are decent and the teachers so far have been pretty good. The class sizes are big and that's been a negative for our child. She came to school able to read and do basic math and there's been no differentiation for her because the teachers have so many other students to focus on. She enjoys going to school, but it's pretty much just tons of worksheets. There's no hands on stuff at all. That may just be what public school is like though - our only frame of reference is our older child's experience and she's been in private throughout.

The Berwyn Heights community is great though. People are kind and involved and neighbors look out for each other. There's a great small town feel here and we've really enjoyed living here. Good luck with your house bid.
