Tough, and you'll be packing a lot in, but those are absolutely spectactular.

We did the three places in 10 days, it was a bit tight but totally doable. We stayed at the 5oda in Instanbul and loved. The couple that runs the hotel/b&B are also travel agents and arrange ed our travel for us including one day travel guides in Istanbul, cappadochia and ephesus (rest of the time free time). Definitely more expensive to do it that way but made the trip amazing since we actually learned a ton about each place. We walked to to old instanbul from the hotel (downhill) but was nice to be off one of the the main shopping/eating areas in the city that non tourists use as well.

I wish I had done more research before touring there. It was amazing.

Esbelli Evi hotel in Cappodocia was lovely and that area is so cool. I would do that and Istanbul. Maybe Ephesus too b

I would say 4-5 days in Istanbul and 4-5 days visiting Ephesus, Cesme and Alacati. They are all near the city of Izmir which you could fly to in less than an hour from Istanbul. (Bodrum, which another PP mentioned is not nearby, or as nice.)

March will be cool in Istanbul, much like DC in March, Izmir will be much warmer but not warm enough for you to be able to swim.

You can take a ferry ride up the Bosphorous from Istanbul. I looked into this recently (we can't do it--we just have a short layover, and they don't run in winter). It looked great; it's a day trip (or you could probably stay overnight).

The ruins at Ephesus are far far better than anything kn Rome or Greece, imo.

Ephesus/Bodrum would be one possibility. Cappadocia another.

Airfares are not bad to Turkey so we're thinking of going for Spring Break at the end of March. We'd have around 10 days - where should we go besides Istanbul? We've never been so I'd love recommendations for one or two other areas in Turkey to visit. Also, how is the weather that time of year?
