former preschool teacher here- it isn't about being PC, it is the fact that it is completely developmentally appropriate for boys to like "girly" things (and vice versa)- let it run it's course instead of steering them away from things they like because you put some social BS stigma behind it-
If I had a dollar for every-time I saw a mom look embarrassed when her 4 year old son said their favorite color was pink, I would be a rich women- the truth is it means NOTHING and the bigger deal you make it, the bigger deal it becomes....
