P.S. Canola oil is about as far from natural as you can get.

I could be wrong but I think you can only leave salted butter out on the counter.

I use Kerrygold in the tub for toast and the like. It's softer straight out of the fridge. It's not the one we have, but very similar. It keeps it fresher in my opinion.

This would be more for everyday use. Like my son loves butter on his toast. Or I like to sometimes just have bread and butter, but if the stick butter is in the fridge it is usually to hard to spread and rips the bread apart.

I use cultured butter because it's more like the butter I'm used to (from the UK) and I have a block of the Organic Valley stuff in a butter dish on the counter so it's soft. In the summer I refrigerate and bring it out of it's too melty.

you don't need to refrigerate butter.

Or fresh eggs, if you bought them someplace that does not wash them first.

I am trying not to use fake foods. So when I get butter I use the Land O Lakes one that has sweet cream, Canola oil and salt. They don't sell this at ever store. So my next option would be stick butter. There are a lot of stick butters that have few ingredients. However I like having my butter soft so I can easily use it. In the olden days my mom used to have a glass butter dish that she would keep butter in the cupboard.

I was wondering, does anyone remember this?? They used to keep butter in a glass dish in the cupboard. Or a Tupperware container? Is it safe to still do this? I would ask her but she's not around to ask.
