Can any of the $3k - $3500 posters recommend their contractor? Looking for just the laundry move, not part of a bigger project.

Maybe you need a new, quieter washer.

Same here. We also added soundproof insulation in the walls of the landry room. No noise.

Venting was easy. Through attic directly above.

We're doing it as we speak as part of a larger renovation. I think we are spending $12k plus $1800 on machines.

We just have the help do it. Easier that way and it stays in the basement.

UGH! We have laundry upstairs. It's so loud, so we can't run it at night like we could when it was in the basement.

$3500 for ours as well alongside the existing stack and the pan/drain and extending the gas line about 15 feet up. We also tiled around the pan.

Do you know what kind of exterior framing you have? If you have 2 x 6 or cinder block you probably don't need to beef it up much. If you have 2 x 4 with insufficient beams you may have an issue.

Maybe 15-20K.

Depends on how you do it. To be properly, you will need to create a pan and drain for your new laundry room, relocate a vent on the outside of the home, and perhaps beef up the structure underneath. Not including machines (you will probably want newer ones, which will vibrate less) - maybe $15k. Keep in mind you're upgrading plumbing and electric as well.

Any idea what ballpark we might be looking at to move the laundry directly upstairs from where it is in the basement?
